Week 47

Friends & Family,

FIRST, I want to shout out to SHAYLIN HEDGES, my beautiful niece. She just got baptized on Saturday, as much as I wanted to be there I know that she was so happy!! That is the best thing every. I am so proud and most important Heavenly Father is so proud of her!! 

SECOND, this coming up Sunday is I REALLY special day.. I just want to tell her now.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the best mom in the world. For everything you have done and do for me. I wouldn't be able to do anything without her. I just love her so much, whoever reads this and sees my mom... give her a big hug from me :) <3 

THIRD, I am so happy for my daddy. He got called to be in the bishopric. I am so happy for him and I know without a doubt... that this is the BEST thing for him and our family!!! :) I know you will do great daddy! I love you! :) 

This morning me and Hermana Nord went at 6am to go watch the sunset. Let me mention it was 65 degrees... BEAUTIFUL!!!! It was amazing!! :) I love nature haha

This week was full of miracles.. It is so amazing. I love being a missionary, seeing all these miracles every day!!!

 We have been making a goal as a companionship to be exactly obedient, using all the time we have, not wasting one minute!!!! and also it was talking to EVERYONE.. and that is what we did. It seems like something that is easy to do.. but we went to Wal-Mart and just needed to talk to everyone. Don't worry it wasn't all perfect, we got rejected and yelled at.. but we had to do it. At first I was very scared but I knew that Heavenly Father would help us. After a few minutes, we started to see many miracles. One of them we found a lady that has met with the elders before like a year ago and she was so excited to see us and she talked for like 20 minutes and she said she would call us and take us out to get ice cream.

 Then we met this Hispanic family outside and we just started talking to them and they were interested so we are going to see them this week!!!

AND another 2 Hispanic boys (19 and 16 years old) They just got to the US and they are just so humbled and sweet!! 

ALL because we are being more obedient and talking to everyone!!! I just know that Heavenly Father knows EXACTLY what is going on at all times. He is putting people in our paths for a reason and if we don't talk to them then we will NEVER know. 

I just want to bear my testimony that I KNOW for a fact that this church is true!! I know Heavenly Father knows up perfectly and wants to bless us but we have to be doing what is right!! I know that the spirit works within different people!!! I love this church, my heart is full. I have never been so happy!!!! :) 

The Lord works in mysterious ways.... you just have to have faith and keep going!!!

Week 46

Friends & Family,

Sorry last week I didn't write that much!! I HAD NO TIME!!! haha but this week was AMAZING!! :)

What a wonderful week full of miracles. Every night when I pray to my Heavenly Father I am just so grateful.. It amazes how he answers every prayer, He listens to them ALL... ITS AMAZING!!!!

Just a couple miracles that happened this week were:

WE HAD 3 HISPANIC INVESTIGATORS AT CHURCH.... and they want to come back! I don't know if any of you know but it is super hard to get them to church. They work every day from7am-8pm they never get a break unless.... sometimes it rains... or the boss lets them... which I feel is NEVER.. but it was just amazing! My heart was so full when we were sitting in church singing Spanish hymns with them!! The spirit was so strong!!

We found 2 more Spanish investigators.. One of them is like a huge teddy bear. He is so amazing and is the sweetest man. Whenever we come over he just has the light in him. He is just so spiritual. We are so excited to keep meeting with him!!

The other one is way interested!! He just sits there and listens and soaks it all in!! hahaha He is the cutest little man!! :)

Some fun things that we did this week is we went BOWLING!!! it was so fun... you guys guess what my score was???? PRO STATUS... 154.... can you believe it?? don't worry I was just LUCKY.. hahaha

ALSO... these members in our ward got a huge snapping turtle.... they found him.. 25 pounds.. killed and gutted it and ate it......... it was sick but really cool. I don't think I'll ever see something like that again!!!!

But that is all... don't forget that Sister Brugman loves and cares for you!!! Most importantly your loving Heavenly Father loves you!! :))

Week 45

Friends & Family,

Sorry this email will be really short because I got caught up in emailing other people and my family :)

okay everyone... DONT WORRY!!!!  I survived the lobster and I LOVED IT!!! haha who would have thought Jaymee Brugman would like that? NOT ME!! Well it was good! :) Thank you for all your prayers! haha :)

So this week was rather slow but we got 2 new investigators so that is always a plus!! :) We see miracles everyday and it is just a living testimony!!! :)

Last week we went fishing... didn't catch ANYTHING!! :(

But I just want to bear my testimony that I know that this is the true church!!! I am so happy I have this gospel in my life!!! It makes my days and life so much better!!! I know that is blesses our lives tremendously!!! I love and miss all of you guys!!! :)

Friends & Family,

So this week was GREAT. I wish I could use a better word than that but I am so blessed. I love being a missionary because I get to be a part of something that is amazing. I get to see miracles all the time and help, serve others!!

We were at a less actives house and we were leaving, and when we were leaving this girl was outside her house waiting to go in to help her clean her house. She is 21 years old! And we just talked with her for a few minutes. Once we told her what church we went to she said, "oh my friend went to that church. She died last year in a car accident. But the family still comes to church." And we said "oh you know her," and she said "yeah she was my best friend." So we told her what we believe and talked a little of the plan of Salvation. And how we lived with Heavenly Father before and we will again after. And how when we die our bodies go to the spirit world. Her eyes lit up and said "REALLY? you know all of that!!?" We said "yeah we know!" and she said "my mom died 2 years ago!! You know where she is!!" we said "yeah!! WE DO!!! we know!" and she wants us to go over to her house and teach her about this plan of happiness!!! She is such a sweet girl and we are so excited to teach her!! It was such an amazing experience to see her eyes light up like that!!! IT WAS AMAZING!!! :)

Church was great yesterday!!! 3 Less actives came to church that we have been visiting and haven't been to church in YEARS!!!! and 2 of them got up to bear their testimonies. My heart was filled. I felt the spirit so strong and was SO happy!! I was sitting next to this less active who is 78 and says, "Can i still go up there even though i smoke?" I said, yes!!!! If you feel that you need to go then GO!!!  She gets up and goes up there and gave such an amazing testimony about how much Heavenly Father LOVES EVERYONE!!! It was simply beautiful. My heart was filled with love and spirit. She came back and sat down and said, "Was that okay?" I hugged her and told her, " That was beautiful, thanks for sharing that!!!" It was great!!! I always love church but yesterday was great!!! :)

Serving a mission is hard and frustrating... but is so worth it. I love missionary work. I know ya'll probably get sick of my saying this, But if you have the  chance to go on a mission. GO ON A MISSION. You won't regret it! It seems like a long time but it goes by fast. This is the best time of my life! I LOVE being so close to our Savior! My relationship with my Heavenly Father has grown so much!! Sometimes you feel that you are alone in life and you have NO ONE!!! But you aren't. You are never alone!!! Heavenly Father is always there for us!!! :)

So some of you guys know that I am NOT the seafood person. So I told people here so I didn't offend them when they did cook it and I didn't eat it.. I DONT LIKE IT!!! so this past week I had fish twice and one less active lady said she is going to make me like lobster..... SICK. I am just praying to Heavenly Father will help me. haha and then someone else told me they are making grilled shrimp.. Well Heavenly Father has blessed me.. because all ya'll know.. I DONT LIKE THAT. I now love fish.... (We just bought fish at the store). I like it a lot more now. But just pray for me this week when I eat lobster. Oh no that is tomorrow..... oh boy. This will be interesting!!! haha

TWO THINGS I THINK I FORGOT HOW TO DO IN 10 MONTHS: drive and oh and I think I forgot how to hold a baby.. ;) but whatever, good thing I'm not having one anytime soon. hahaha anyways I hope you all have a great week! I love and miss ya'll!!
